ORIGIN

The Grappello Ruberti grapes used to make ANNUNCIATA come from the “Val d’Oca” vineyard among San Matteo e Sabbioni in the province of Mantua in that tongue of land that, flanking the Oglio Nature Park, wedges into the Po River. The soil is characterized by the deep layer of alluvial sediments of a clayey nature that ensures its high water retention capacity and constant supply of nutrients. The presence of a delicate surface limestone vein requires the vine to make selective and delicate root uptake. The intermediate climate between oceanic and Mediterranean in conjunction with the most passionate care of the vineyard constitute key ingredients for a wine of balanced structure and exquisite minerality.

To the eye

ANNOUNCED shows a vibrant ruby color with garnet profiles of intense brightness and brilliance. By turning the wine in the goblet, you can observe the formation of thin tears along the walls of the glass indicative of refined structure.

Nose

You can detect notes of fresh red fruits such as cherries, strawberries and raspberries. These fruity aromas are intertwined with spicy hints such as black pepper and cinnamon. Cocoa and vanilla elegantly accompany notes of leather and tobacco.

On the palate

The tannins typical of Grappello Ruberti are enhanced by aging in French oak, offering a harmonious and complex flavor structure. The ‘balanced acidity enhances the tannicity of ANNUNCIATA giving it an exquisite fresh feel. Hints of spice emerge during drinking and are enhanced by an elegant, lingering minerality.
